Atelier Clavier is the data controller for personal data processed via buchecaric.yachts and in connection with our piano teaching services, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Belgian Law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

2. Personal data we collect

• Identity data: first name, last name; for minors, parent or guardian details
• Contact data: email address, telephone number, postal address
• Lesson data: age or experience level, scheduling preferences, repertoire notes, attendance
• Billing data: invoicing details and payment records as required for accounting
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information via cookies (see our Cookie Policy)
• Communication data: messages sent via the contact form or email

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): scheduling and delivering lessons; processing payments
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): optional analytics cookies; any marketing communications
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): responding to enquiries, improving our services, studio safety
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Belgian tax and accounting requirements

4. Data retention

• Student and billing records: up to 7 years after the last lesson (Belgian accounting obligations)
• Contact form enquiries: 12 months
• Cookie consent records: 12 months

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with payment processors, IT hosting providers (EU/EEA or with appropriate safeguards), professional advisers bound by confidentiality, and public authorities when required by Belgian law.

6. International transfers

We aim to process data within the EEA. If transfers outside the EEA occur, we use appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).

9. Children

For students under 16, we process data with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Lesson arrangements for minors are concluded with a guardian.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, taking into account the nature of piano studio operations.
